Blondies

Blondies are soft and chewy and quick to make all in one bowl! Full of buttery deliciousness, you can load it with anything from chocolate chips to your favorite nuts, candy and more!

Growing up, this is what we called a brownie because there was a scant amount of cocoa powder included. I left out the cocoa powder and called it what it really is ... a Blondie! It was the go to dessert and was made by just about all of my siblings. I found the very stained recipe card in my mom's collection and several family members made their mark on the card with their handwriting or from dropping food on it!

As much as I enjoy a good Blondie, I much prefer a fudgy brownie. If you're the same, check out my mom's other Brownies recipe, it's my favorite!

Blondies are a dense cookie bar that is very moist. You may think it is a bit underdone when you take them out of the oven, but they will continue to set up as they cool.

What You Need

  • Brown Sugar

  • Eggs

  • Butter

  • Vanilla

  • Flour

  • Baking Powder

  • Salt

  • Chocolate Chips or Nuts (optional)

How To Make Blondies

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a 9x13 inch pan with non -stick cooking spray and set aside. In a medium sized bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, eggs, butter and vanilla and stir until fully combined.

Step 2: Add the flour, baking powder and salt to the wet mixture and stir well. The batter will be thick. If desired, add chocolate chips or nuts.

Step 3: Transfer the batter to the prepared baking pan and bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.

Once the Blondies have cooled completely, cut in bars! This is a quick and simple recipe, but big on flavor!

This would be a great addition to your holiday platter by adding a few holiday candies!

Storing and Freezing Blondies

Storing: The Blondies will stay fresh for 2-3 days when stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.

Freezing: To freeze the Blondies, wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and place in a freezer bag for up to 2 months (don't forget to date your bag).

I hope you will give this family favorite a try! They are Forkin' Good!
