How to Make Cherry Cha-Cha Dessert

This recipe can be ready in about 30 minutes, but does need about 1 hour of chilling time before serving.

Step 1:  Crush around 8 graham crackers (enough to get 1 cup of crushed graham crackers) using a food processor and pulse until finely ground graham cracker crumbs. Melt the a half cup butter on the stove top or in a microwave safe bowl. Combine the graham crackers with brown sugar and melted butter and mix until fully combined. Reserve 3 tablespoons of graham crackers for topping. Place the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of an 8x8 inch pan and spread evenly then press tightly to the bottom of the pan. Refrigerate.

Step 2:  Add the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar to a large bowl (or to a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment) and with an electric mixer, whip on medium high speed until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes. Add the mini marshmallows and using a rubber spatula fold to combine (do not mix the whipped cream).

Step 3: Remove the 8x8 inch pan of graham cracker crumbs from the refrigerator and place half of the whipped cream and marshmallow mixture on top of the graham cracker crust.  Place one can of cherry pie filling on top of the whipped cream mixture, then place the rest of the cream mixture and finally top with the reserved crumbs. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
