Being a busy working mom in the past, I valued a meal that is easy to make and delicious, and this recipe is exactly that plus it is a family favorite! The ingredients are likely pantry staples you have on hand so you can whip this up any time!
I have had this recipe in my collection since I got married (many years ago), and I guarantee that it is a tasty and speedy meal that you can prepare in no time.
What You Need
Rotini Pasta (or pasta of your choice)
Ground Beef
Green Bell Pepper or Red Bell Pepper
Chopped Yellow Onion
Seasoned Salt
Chili Powder
Black Pepper
Diced Tomatoes
Tomato Sauce
Kidney Beans
Cheddar Cheese
Tips for Making Chili Casserole
Use your favorite pasta or use what you have on hand, like elbow macaroni
This casserole can be made with ground turkey or ground chicken and has the same great flavor
You can substitute the kidney beans with black beans or pinto beans, if desired
The next time you make this pasta recipe, spice it up by adding cayenne pepper, green chilies and pepper jack cheese

How To Make Chili Casserole
This easy recipe can be ready in about 40 minutes making it a great weeknight dinner tonight!
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large pot, boil the pasta as directed on the box, drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, brown ground beef while crumbling with a wooden spoon, then add the green pepper and fresh onion and cook over medium heat. Add seasoned salt, pepper, and chili powder and mix well and continue cooking until ground beef is done. Drain any excess fat.

Step 3: Once the meat mixture is fully cooked, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooked pasta, red kidney beans, and half of the cheese and mix well to blend. Season to taste with additional seasoned salt. Let the mixture warm until bubbly.

Step 4: Pour into the prepared 9x13-inch baking pan or dutch oven and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until the sides are bubbly and the cheese has melted.

How to Store Chili Casserole
Any leftover Chili Casserole may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat the next day in the microwave or in the oven until heated thoroughly.
