Cinnamon Bread

Easy and delicious bread that is full of flavor and so soft! Great for breakfast or giving as a gift during the holiday season!

This recipe came from my friend and neighbor. We've been talking food since I started this blog and she has quickly become another woman in my village who is willing to share recipes, tips and tricks, as well as some of her family's secret recipes. She has shared so many recipes with me and this is one of them. I am honored to talk about food and cooking with her and her husband!

You will definitely want to add this recipe to your own collection because this Cinnamon Bread is so flavorful and is easy to make. It is wonderful for breakfast, a snack, or right out of the oven (I may be speaking from experience!).

How To Make Cinnamon Bread

This recipes mixes up in one bowl and cooks in about 50 minutes with ingredients you likely have on hand! Five simple steps makes it come together quickly.

Step 1: Prepare a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Preheat your oven to 350° F. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla and mix well (I mixed everything together by hand with a wooden spoon). NOTE: if you don't have buttermilk, take1 tablespoon of white vinegar plus enough regular milk to make 1cup. Within seconds, it turns into buttermilk and works perfectly.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and stir. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir well.

Step 3: Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan.

Step 4: In a small bowl, combine the butter, sugar and cinnamon and mix well. Sprinkle over the top of the batter and, using a knife, cut in a swirling motion to give a marbled effect.

Step 5: Bake at 350° F for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Storing Cinnamon Bread

Storage: Store the bread in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 3 days.

Freezing: Allow the bread to cool completely then cut and place in a freezer bag, removing as much air as possible, and freeze for up to 2 months. Remember to date your bag!

I hope you will give this one a try because it really is Forkin' Good!
