If you can distinguish between a chocolate shake and a chocolate malt and you enjoy the malt taste, then this is the perfect cookie for you! It is a chocolate chip cookie made with malted milk powder!
I grew up enjoying chocolate malts because my mom liked them! Thanks to all those chocolate malts as a kid and the hundreds of malted milk balls I may or may not have eaten, I can easily identify when malt powder is in a recipe because it has that distinct aftertaste that just sets it apart from anything else!
This recipe came from my friend and neighbor and it is definitely one that you need to add to your baking list. It comes together quickly with simple chocolate chip cookie ingredients that you likely have on hand. If you don't keep malt mix in your pantry, you can find it at local grocery stores in the baking aisle or near the ice cream!
If you like a good chocolate chip cookie, give this alternative a try! The cocoa powder makes it a double chocolate chip cookie and the malt flavor makes it special!
