Mexican Layer Dip

Quick and easy dip with refried beans, seasoned sour cream, cheese. and toppings. Perfect for parties!

I've been enjoying this delicious recipe since the early 1990's. A friend that I worked with brought this dip to a potluck and the whole office was hooked! It is a family favorite because it is so good, very easy and perfect for parties and game day tailgates!

This is a quick go to recipe for parties and if I'm not making this, I go to:

Mexican Layer Dip Ingredients:

Refried beans

Sour Cream

Taco Seasoning Mix

Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese

Black Olives, Jalapeño peppers, fresh tomato and shredded lettuce for garnish

How to Make Mexican Layer Dip

Spread the refried beans on the pizza pan.

Combine the sour cream and taco seasoning, mix thoroughly and spread on top of the refried beans.

Top with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, sliced jalapeño peppers and diced fresh tomatoes.

Making Ahead and Storage

This recipe is so quick, you can make it minutes before your guests arrive and it will be perfect! It can also be made an hour or so ahead of time and covered with plastic wrap and stored in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. If you need to make it the day before, only prepare the refried beans and sour cream mixture, then cover and store in the refrigerator. Add the toppings just before serving. Served with tortilla or corn chips.

If you have any leftovers, I recommend moving the dip to an air tight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

I hope this becomes a family favorite at your house! It is Forkin' Good!
